Your Warm Front grant can be used for a wide range of heating and
insulation improvements for your home, including loft insulation, draughtproofing,
cavity-wall insulation, hot water tank insulation, gas, electric or oil central heating -
either a new system installation or repairs to your existing system, plus converting a solid
fuel open fire to a glass fronted fire.
Your package of insulation and heating improvements will be tailored to the specifications of your home, and are
applicable if you are renting from a landlord or own your own home.
1. Energy efficient lightbulbs You can receive two energy efficient light bulbs.
2. Cavity-wall insulation Insulate your cavity-walls, and keep warm in the winter.
3. Loft insulation Insulate your loft to the recommended depth of insulation to prevent heat loss through your roof.
4. Hot water tank insulation Hot water tank jackets and time controls for electric space waters and water heaters.
5. Draughtproofing The scheme offers draughtproofing of windows and doors.
6. Gas, electric or oil central heating Your Warm Front grant may include new installations or repairs to existing central heating systems and can be used for gas, electric or oil fired systems depending on the suitability of your home and availability of services. For oil powered systems the grant is raised to £4000 from £2700.
7. Glass fronted fire The grant covers modifying an existing solid fuel open fire to a glass fronted fire.
